Hello!!!! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE YOU ON CHRISTMAS!!! i DON'T THINK, WELL YOU PROBABLY DO UNDERSTAND, BUT IT WAS JUST AMAZING TO SEE YOU ALL!!!!! IT WAS SOMETHING i NEEDED SO BADLY!!!!

SO we had a lot of fun on Christmas it was just really great! after I got out of my boo hoo I miss you mood we were able to play some of the games we got, and just have a great time! I really did feel like I was at lynette's house, that's how the Gimmeson's make me feel! They are just great! I love them! they were so sweet! they gave us each a paparazzi necklace set, and a mug with a picture of us and their kids on it, that says don't forget us when you go home, we love you. It was so sweet! and something I will cherish for the rest of my life! :) The coolest thing they gave us, and I am pretty sure that it was Bro. Gimmeson's idea, was we each got a remote controlled car. yea pretty great huh! I love it! We have already had some pretty epic battles at lunchtime! It's awesome !:)
Those may be some cool presents, but my favorite present of all time was that calender you made me. It is so precious to me and I love it so much! Thank you for taking the time to make it and put all that hard work and effort and love. It really makes me cry every time I look though it! I can't tell you how much it makes my heart happy! :)

I have been sick for the last couple of days! I lost my voice Saturday night, and I had to sing in church Sunday morning. it wasn't all gone, but I was able to sing ok. but now I can't talk very loud and it's pretty funny to listen to myself try to talk! :)

So on Thursday we went to the Faith Hope and Love meeting at the old lady home, and we were sitting there listening and they were talking about how they were saved in their living room and stuff, which worried me, but then the leader asked the golden question."What does latter day saint actually mean" so I was able to teach them the restoration right there. To about 8 old ladies! it was great! I loved that so much!!!

This week we have been working a lot with members and former's. We went to talk to this former that we had a record for, turns out they had moved, but we talked to the lady that lived there, she had just lost her husband last Christmas and was having a hard time, so we invited her to come to church with us, and she said that she would try to come. she didn't end up coming to church, but when we brought out one of our members, the first thing she said to us was "I know a lady that you talked to the other day." and it was this lady, and she had given her a book of Mormon, and their sons are really close friends. It was a really neat experience, we are going to be working with them to have a dinner at their house so we can teach them! I love when the Lord puts all of his children to work. I am so grateful for the great members in this ward.

So today sister little and I were able to get massages from a lady in our ward! it felt so great to be able to relax and feel pampered for a few hours! She has offered that once a month while we are still here we can go back and get them! :)

Sister Little and I are doing well, I'm really glad for the time we have been able to spend together. I don't know what the Lord has planned for us after the transfer, but whatever he decides I will be alright with whatever happens!

I hope you have a wonderful week! I love you all and have a happy new year tomorrow !:)
Thank you everyone for remembering me this Christmas.  I really appreciate the gifts and words of encouragement.   I love you all.

Dear Friends and Family
Well, it sounds like life is just going and going and going!! :) Things are going and going and going here too! :) Funny how that happens huh?
I actually know sister Hungar, she was in this area before I got here, and she is training Sister Challis Carter, the girl I went to High school with! Crazy connections!
Sounds like lots of crazy weather happening, we are getting lots of snow here too, it's not sticking too bad, but it makes it hard to want to go out in it, but alas we keep going! :) heehee ! :) We had our ward Christmas party this week too! It was a lot of fun! I'll tell you a bit about it, we had food that they would have had in the BOM times, chicken taco's and rice and beans and salsa stuff like that! :) It was a lot of fun! I'll explain a little more down later in the letter.
Questions(I asked her how her companion is doing, she has been really struggling. 2. how Kelsey is doing. She has ben having some anxiety 3. What the mission was going to do for Christmas and 4. does she get the opportunity to sing very often)

1. Sister Little is doing better, we have made a pact that we are getting each other out of our moods right when we see them, and so we are helping each other that way! We went to LDS family services again on Friday and had a great session with Kimberly, talking about pushing out unwanted/ negative thoughts it has really helped me. Sister LIttle doesn't get much mail from anyone except you and grandpa, she really loves it, She is getting indifferent to not getting mail, but it is really sad to see. I really wish her family would be as awesome as you guys and keep her updated on things!
2. I am doing better, sometimes it's hard to get going in the mornings, and focus, because it's cold outside, and starting the winter drawl but it's fun most of the time! :) I am learning more ways to deal with stress and that seems to help a lot!
3. we just had a mission Christmas party where we had the whole mission together and we had a bunch of musical numbers and the stake presidents from the whole area got up and spoke for a minute, then we had christmas dinner, I got to sit by sister Black and sister Garner and talk the whole time and just catch up! It was just what I needed! I loved it so much! :)
4. I actually was able to sing  at the christmas party in the choir that they had. and then Elder Browning and I are singing in church the week after Christmas! it's awesome! I am determined to sing in every ward I am in if I can! :)

Did you see on facebook that Bro. Channell posted some pictures of us at the christmas party? They are the best! It was so much fun! :)

This week has been quite the week! There has been a lot of progress with Jason! We had 4 lessons with him this week. And each one there was a surprise that we didn't expect! Monday's lesson we asked them how their book of Mormon reading was going and they said that they hadn't read any because they were talking about plans for a wedding! One night Jason all of a sudden had the idea of why wait? Just get married in January? We had been praying, fasting and stressing over this for the last few weeks and the Lord really answered our prayers by telling Jason that it was OK for them to be married! WE were shocked and amazed, and ecstatic!!!!! So our next lesson was a chapel tour, and we talked to him about the Word of Wisdom! He loves the word of wisdom! That is how he got out of his depression was through eating healthy and coming closer to Christ. He already had a testimony of it before he knew about it and he LOVES it! Then we had a lesson on Thursday with him, and we taught him about Obedience, near the end of the lesson My heart started racing and the only thing that I could think of was Extend baptism on January 4th, over and over. So I told him that I was being prompted to tell him something and that the Lord wanted him to get baptized on January 4th. He accepted that date. I know that Jason is ready for baptism! He loves everything about this church! He's our miracle!

We have had a lot of success working with less actives as well, mostly through service this week. WE have been baking cookies and inviting everyone we talked to, to our ward Christmas party that was on Saturday, and 3 people we invited came! It was so great! At the party we had a musical presentation about the signs of Christ's birth through the Book of Mormon, and it was very well done and it brought the spirit, everyone loved it.

I have also been working on my relationship with the spirit and trying to follow every prompting I get, and it has been really good, it makes me listen and slow down, and be more still.

We are struggling to find new people to teach though, that is where we are weak right now. We are working on ways to do things differently and smarter so we can fix that!

Family and Friends
I do admit that I am jealous that you are all going to be together in arco for thanksgiving, I will miss you guys a lot that day, but We are going to be eating with 2 families that are orphan's like us missionaries, not from Ohio, and they are the Gardners and the Gimmesons. IT's going to be a blast and I am so excited ! :) The gimmeson's asked us to help decorate their Christmas tree last Saturday and that was so great! they had Christmas music playing and it was just like home! They are my family here! So don't worry about me being lonely! It's going to be great! :)
I honestly don't think I will be getting transferred but I have been wrong in the past, but transfer calls are next Monday, and I won't send out an email until I know if I am getting transferred, so I will know next Monday! so be patient! :) I don't want to leave grove city, so I hope I don't get transferred.

We had a tornado warning last night! that was fun! The sirens went off and everything, No tornado's in grove city though! Bummer something exciting to talk about though. Pres. Sent out a voice mail saying that we all needed to get home as soon as we could and be safe! :) Oh yea!

This week has been a pretty good week! We have had a lot of success, some trials but mostly successes in the long run! I have been hesitant to tell you about Alia, our investigator who is on date for next Saturday the 23rd, because I wasn't completely sure that she was going to make it, but this week has been a week of miracles for her, she smokes and has been smoking 14 a day for a long time. We started her on her 10 day plan, and it went rocky for the first 2 days, because she has wild kids that don't know how to behave when people are around, but our member, Bro. Callecod, that comes with us, is so good with them, they are learning how to behave, we teach them how to pray when we pray, and it is making a huge difference in their home! We set up a plan for her to quit smoking, we gave her some candy to substitute for when she has a craving, and it is working. We fasted for her on Friday, and we went back the next day and she was down to 4 a day, and we went back on Sunday she had only smoked a half of one! Miracles are happening :) I know it's not us that is doing this it is the Lord and I am so grateful to be on his side and to be an instrument to watch Him change peoples lives! :)
We have been able to get in to some more part member families houses as well, we had dinner with a family on Monday that went well! The mom isn't quite ready yet, but we are going to keep going over and softening her heart so that she can fell Heavenly Father's love for her as we are there! Life is good! I am so blessed to be out on a mission! Sister Specialized Training was extraordinary! I always love it, but this one was just for me! I have been struggling to love and connect with Alia, I have been praying for something to be said to help me feel Heavenly Fathers love for her,  and as we were singing the Spirit of God at the very end, I was overwhelmed with love for her. I knew it couldn't have been anything else because I could see her face and her name was the only thing in my mind, and I cried through the whole song! It was a miracle. ever since then Things have been going so much more smoothly with her, and, I have to say this quietly because whenever I say this things tend to not happen, but she is on track to being baptized on Saturday. She is my miracle!
Also we have been having great success with Jason. Sister Bennington came to our lesson adn helped us explain the plan of salvation it was so great! :) Jason is on fire, he knows that this is where he needs to be, and everything is looking good for him! :)

Love you guys! :)   Sister Buhler

Family and Friends.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!! I just bought your birthday presents today, and I will get them sent off to you as soon as I can get to the post Office! I love you so much and really hope that you have such a great day on Friday!!!!!

I did get your package, I loved the hat and gloves, and everything else in there! I really appreciate everything you do to keep me warm and all stocked up and loved! Some missionaries don't get things from family ever
so I feel so loved that so many people really do care! I also got a cute letter from the cluffs this week too! it was a family news letter and it had some pictures from Jessica! I loved it! I also got one from grandpa too! :) We are having a zone fun day because we reached our goal of everyone in our zone getting 1 at church and making breakfast for our investigators! We also as a zone found 24 new investigators from Thursday to Sunday  it was awesome!
( I also asked her how she would have reacted if she had been home when Michael and Ashley dropped off a surprise at her apartment when they were in Columbus)
What would I have done if Mike and Ash would have been there when I showed up...I don't know.......I would have hugged them talked to them for a second.... ok longer than a second.  I probably would have freaked out in a good way!  Sis. little wouldn't have liked it, she would have been so mad to be honest! I loved it though it really made me feel even more loved! :)
I got to kill a missionary this week! Sis. Webb has been traveling the mission for the last two weeks and she ended her mission here in Scioto, so I killed her! it was awesome to have her for her last few days! I love her so much and look up to her so much! She gave us so much advice about how to be confident and how to have power, she is just amazing! :)

so here's the run down of how things went this week!

This week was a great week for us! full of lots of miracles! I know that it was because Sis. Little and I have been able to work together and get through the differences and show an increase of love towards each other. That has helped so much! :) We finally were able to have someone at church this week. Alia came and is so excited to never miss again and she wants to be baptized and loves getting to know the people in our ward. After 2 weeks of missing church she was noticing how much grumpier she was not going and how her and her husband fight when she doesn't go, and so she says that she never wants to miss again! What a miracle that she is recognizing those things, we are going to extend baptism again to her this week for the 23rd of Nov. We know that she can be baptized that day! We are so excited, we have been praying and fasting for her as munch as we can every day with prayer. She is so awesome! :) This week we were challenged by our zone leaders to find at lease 2 more investigators by the end of the week from mid weeks on. and we were able to see miracles for that as well. we prayed and prayed and prayed to find, we went out Saturday morning and tracted around a member and the people weren't really receiving us all that well, then about an hour later as we were getting into our car one of the guys whose door we knocked on drove by and rolled down his window and said that he wished he would have let us in, and that if we came back in about an hour or so that he had some questions he wanted answered. SO we went back and taught him the first lesson, every question just went right along with the restoration right in order, Matthew and his wife are so great, I have a really good feeling about them, we invited him to be baptized and to read the book of Mormon, he prayed with us , and he said that he'd read it that night! This is the miracle we have been looking for  a while and we are so grateful! We also found Audrey and Theresa. they are awesome too! Ready and willing to be taught! I know the prayer works and something that Sis. Webb taught me while she was here with us this week is Pray Until Something Happens P U S H, it works we have been super specific and faith filled in our prayers and that is why we have been able to see so much success this week! :)

I was reading 2 nephi 4 this morning for personal study and I really feel like nephi sometimes because I feel like I have so many temptations that easily beset me, and that I am never good enough, and there is always stuff I can improve, but then I turn to how much the savior has done for me and merciful Heavenly father is and then it wakes me up to see that He really has been there for me through it all. And that he is carrying me, then I think like Nephi "awake my soul, no longer droop in sin..." I can't rely on my own arm, and my own flesh because I am weak but when I rely on Him he can make me strong. That was so awesome to read to day! I love that chapter!

I love you guys so much! I really miss all of you and want you to know that I feel every prayer, especially through the hard days! :) I hope you have a great week!
Keep on keepin on!

Love, sis. Buhler

Hello everyone,
I got your letter mom, and one from Grandpa too, it made my day, since I sent all of my letters and journals home I haven't felt like I had a connection to anything that I knew so I am grateful that you sent one, it made me feel connected to people again!

I'll be honest with you, Change is hard, especially when you are going through change by yourself. New area, new companion, new ward, new everything, and the companion is only 6 weeks old and doesn't really know the area herself, so needless to say...it's been a pretty trying week for me! But there are always good things every day, so here are some of the good things that happened this week.
Tues: we met the Gimmeson's, they are a transplant from Washington, and they miss the west just as much as I do! :)
Wed: District meeting. I love getting to know other missionaries, and one of my favorite missionaries Sis. Osborne is in my district! I love her, she is just awesome !:) so I am glad to have a few familiar faces. We also got to go to dinner with the Russles. Mom you would love Bro. Russel, he's so funny, we joked around a lot about how he said that he's going to be the next prophet, and how he's going to make a bunch of changes in the church, I told him that you and him would be great friends because of how we joke about you being an "oppressed Mormon woman...etc." and he said that when he's prophet you get to be the patriarch! :) He's so funny! :) We're budds!:) I really like them! :)
Thursday: We worked our way through some differences in our personalities/companionship.  We were able to meet our Bishop and some other members in the ward, and we got invited to a bon fire, and to dinner on Sunday! I really love bishop, he's awesome! he's really funny and has a goofy laugh.
Friday: We had a meeting with the elders in our ward to set goals and a vision for the ward, I thought it went well, but Sis. Little....not so much, but that's ok. Then we had weekly planning, and got ourselves one new investigator! Tiffany! She's golden!
Saturday: Met some more members at the church, We went to a place called Commercial Point and tracted around there, it was freezing, and I swear it was about to snow! Plus we were tracting during pre game of the buckeyes game, DON"T EVER DO THAT!!! Bad idea, no body likes you during that time! :) Then we went to the bonfire with Bishop and his family! :) It was really fun! We met a bunch of the ward members and get to know them better, also we got a referral so that was awesome too!
Sunday: Ward Conference, so amazing! Everything was about missionary work, Bishop and The stake pres. talked and really get everyone pumped up to find people for us to teach, it was awesome! Pres. Welling is getting released and so he issued a challenge in the next three weeks that everyone in the ward needs to find someone to teach the gospel too, to teach them in your home with the missionaries, to fellowship investigators and to prepare for missions! It was so great!
We were able to finally set up dinners and stuff with our ward members and get that going again, we haven't been getting fed, so I fixed that ! :) Then we ate at bishops house, and it was awesome!:)
I'm running short on time so I hope that I can answer your questions, I've literally got 5 minutes and the computer shuts off on me, so here we go!
1. I did get the garments and I love them, if you could order me at least 2 more pair that would be awesome! they are the right size and everything.

Will you please send my pink coat, and my white and pink tuk hat , and also some gloves, Also my boots, as soon as you can! I really need some winter stuff because it's getting cold! :) Thank you so much! :

I love you and miss you every day!

Sis. Buhler

So for starters You will be receiving a letter from me, probably Wednesday saying that you won't be getting an email today because it is not p-day today...disregard that letter I lied....not intentionally, the information we were given was false. SO because you received this email today proves that it is p-day today! We didn't know until last night that it would be p-day, and so we have been dreading this week with out it all week, it was a blessed occasions filled with dancing and maybe a little bit of squealing...
We get to go to the temple on Friday! I am so excited! Thank you for telling grandpa to send those names! I really appreciate that a lot! I have not been through the temple for anyone but my family before and I don't want that streak to stop now! words can't express how excited I am to go! :)
Last week sounded like a pretty crazy week for you, winning doughnuts, power outages and Scott Horan drinking whisky at the ward party! Man what's going on in Coltman??? It's almost as bad as the time when we did karaoke at the church...you know what I'm talking about! :)

It was Jared's Birthday last tuesday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARED!! :)
It was also Kyle's birthday on Saturday! I thought about him all day, I felt him with me! It was really awesome! :)

This week has been quite the week for us! We have been working really hard to get Steve on track for baptism and to do all we can to help him stop drinking coffee and feel ready for baptism! We had a few miracles with him this week! at his lesson on Tuesday we were following up on a commitment to pray for 3 specific things in his prayers and then to listen to what heavenly father had to say. He did that and one of the questions he asked was if Heavenly Father loved him. he said that this answer was "a warm fuzzy feeling inside" we were so happy that he finally got an answer to a prayer! Another miracle was that on Thursday we went to his house for a short lesson, we made a goal for our selves that we weren't leaving Steve's house until we got his coffee pot. We had been praying all week for him to let us take it and be done with coffee. WE talked about how we know and that heavenly father knows that he's ready, and we blessified him with the Word of Wisdom. Sis. garner asked if he would give us his coffee pot, and he said "well I guess it's not going to make a big difference if there's no coffee in the house, so if it will make you feel better than yes you can have it!" MIRACLE OF MIRACLES :) so we took it home and the next morning threw it in the dumpster and celebrated the victory! :)  Since then he has not drank coffee at all at home or at work, and he watched all 4 sessions of conference took a question with him that he had prayed about and I am thinking he got an answer, but he said he wouldn't tell us until our lesson on Tuesday! :) He is on track for baptism on Saturday! I am so excited!

As far as our relationship as a companionship is going, sometimes it's a bit stressed,Other than that things are going pretty well. She is really good at teaching simply and I still have a hard time with over explaining things and so she has been helping us role play keeping it simple, using her strengths to help us. That is something I appreciate about her. Sis. garner is adjusting very well, she still had her moments where she struggles, but we work through it together and we get out and work until it goes away! She really is great! I am so proud of how far she has come! :)

With transfers coming up I will be honest with you and say that a change of venue would be nice for me too, but at the same time I don't want to leave where I have known all my mission. Sometimes I feel like I have done all I can here, but then I feel like there is still more. So that's where I am at on staying or going at transfers!
Transfers will be on tuesday this time, so p-day is the same. so stay tuned to see what happens in the good ole land of zanesville !:)

Conference was amazing, it was a new experience watching it at a church, I had never done that before, it was awesome, both mike and Steve were there to watch it with us! It was just what I needed. There are so many crazy bold things that were said that I wonder what the world is going to think when they read it. All the counsel on mans laws not being god's laws and stuff like that. It's going to be interesting! I loved all the emphasis on missionary work this conference as well, how many times did they say that the members and the missionaries need to be equally yolked together. So my question to you is: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HASTEN THE WORK? not yelling, just emphasizing! :) This goes to all who read this email, not just you mom! :) I would also encourage everyone to go buy the book The Everyday Missionary by Clayton Christensen. It is revolutionary on how members can do missionary work for themselves! Please buy it! It's only 8 dollars! I promise that as you read and implement the things in that book that you will be able to feel God's love for you and bless you more than you could ever imagine! :)

To answer your questions
1. My contacts are Holding out just great! I just barely opened my last box that has 6 in it! I think I'll be good for at least 6 more months, maybe even a year. probably until I get home I think. Each of them last me 2 months! so I should be good. I'll let you know when I get down to 2 pairs!
2.I just texted Sis. Nilsen we'll see if she responds! This Just in: The name of the page is: (drum role please) The Great Ohio Columbus Mission

Monday, September 16, 2013

What an amazing week full of miracles for our family! :) I am so happy that everything went well for Grandpa's surgery! That really is amazing! :) That just makes my heart happy...haha! get it...heart! :)
Your camping trip sounded like a ton of fun! ;)

I am not sure what exactly the mission facebook page is called, I will ask Sis. Nilsen tomorrow at interviews, and I'll let you know!
I haven't ever had to give a talk in church, but we help out with last minute lessons quite frequently! it's quite the whirlwind! :) But it's fun! :)
OHIO SATE FOOTBALL?? What's that?
Just kidding! Yes we hear about it all the time! :) We know when not to go tracting on Game days because NO ONE WILL LET US IN!!! It's a waste of time! :) So we usually do training or catch up on other records and stuff like that on game days! :) It's great! OH.......IO!!!!!
We actually bought OSU shirts this week and took some hilarious pictures that I will attach here in a second!

Here's how our week went this week! :)

This week has been a week of growth and progress all around! It really has been a great week over all.
Sis. Blacks knee is healing up and we are able to take on our normal work load again! Which is really nice. The week started off pretty slow because of that. But we got everything figured out with how to work with that problem.
We were supposed to have a lesson last Tuesday with Steve, who is on date for this Sunday, but we got a call from them saying that they had been robbed the night before. and that they didn't want to have anyone over or talk to anyone. We thought that all was lost and that Steve was done progressing, but we started praying for him and kept in contact with them, and sent one of our members Bro. Hamner to their house to give them a blessing and bless their home. That was such a great experience for them. They felt safer and were able to sleep soundly that night. Then we went over there for our lesson Thursday and we did some damage control, and talked to him about how he's only got a week before baptism, just to see if he was still looking to that goal. Biggest Miracle Ever. HE'S STILL PLANNING ON IT!! The only thing he had to do was quit drinking coffee. This experience humbled him enough that he decided to try it and to let the Savior make up for what he couldn't do. He committed to going at least one day with out coffee, and now he's on day three. He was able to go to the adult session of stake conference and he felt the spirit so strong. He went down with bishop Fuhriman, and his wife, he really loved it. He felt that everything said was said for him! Then he went to stake conference the next day and really enjoyed it as well! I asked him if he felt any different after quitting for 2 days, and he said I feel like crud, but that will pass! He is so amazing! through everything he has been through in the last few months I am so proud of Steve and how strong he and his wife are. His wife is a recent convert back in December and she is so strong as well, they keep each other strong! They are my miracle for this week! :)
We were also able to go on exchanges on Wednesday to Mt. Vernon with Sis. Webb and Sis. Arnell, I just love them, I learn so much when I go with them! We worked on finding techniques and new door approaches, and just how to be more effective!

We have been struggling a little bit with our relationships as companions, holding things in when they should be said, and stuff like that, but we were able to sit down in companionship inventory and really talk it out, and work out ways to make Zanesville out area. We did some Companionship unity activities and got ourselves reorganized, and it has really blessed our companionship! We are working together so much better now!

We are so excited for Steve to be baptized on Sunday! Please keep him in your prayers so that he can be strong and make it the whole week without coffee!
Some things that I need you to send me here soon, is a journal, like one of the ones from Deseret book, I don't want one super huge, but not tiny either. You know what I like! Surprise me! :) Can you also send me that book of pinterest work outs that I put in that box, and also the sweaters and skirts that are in the box as well, fall is setting in and it's getting colder! I would love a package and some letters, they come few and far between for me now a days!
I hope you have a great week and things go well everywhere! Keep praying and doing everything awesome! :) I love you guys so much! Sometimes I miss you like so hard! :) Have a great day! :)
Love Sis. Buhler

Monday, August 26, 2013

Well talk about busy week for you guys! Sounds like you are powering through this awesome calling of yours! I love to hear your success stories they make me so proud of you. I have always said that your work that you do is always top notch quality, nothing you do, you do half way! I love that! :) Keep it up! :) I am glad the fun run went well, and that everyone enjoyed it! :) I think it's crazy that school is already starting and fall is beginning, I am so excited to see the fall colors here in Ohio! You are going to be so jealous when I send you pictures because I get to live in it!!! ;) Transfers are next Thursday, I have no idea what is going to happen, the only thing I know for sure is that I will be a sister training leader. It's a bit scary to think that I will have sisters under me.....the mission won't know what to do when I'm done with them! Mwahahah! :)
Grandpa's letter was perfect for sister Black! She loved it! It was hilarious! :) Tell him thank you for sending it! :)
To answer your questions.   These are the questions I asked her:
1.  Did you get the package we sent last week?
2.  Do you have limited mileage on your car?
3.  Do you do all the driving?
4.  What do you do to decompress or relax at the end of the day?

I did get the package you sent, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I needed it, Everything in there was just what I needed! :)
We have 1200 miles a month, and some things we do we don't count them on our miles. Like when we go on exchanges we don't count the miles to and from where we go, but only the miles in the city we are working. Sometimes it's a stretch to make it, but we usually do! :)
I do all of the driving, much to sister black's dismay, she doesn't think I am a good driver. I happen to think I am quite a good driver! :) Don't ask her about it...Sometimes I wish I didn't have to drive, but sometimes I like it.
and finally to decompress at the end of the day, we usually get ready for bed and then read some scriptures, and eat something yummy, then if there is time we write in our journals, or just fall into bed exhausted! Or we talk about random stuff, or I don't know, just really whatever we feel like doing, or what we have time for.

I think the main thing that I have learned this week is that the members love us here so much that they want to help us in any way that they can.
One example of this is Bro. Hamner, he came to Steve's lesson with us, and the lesson didn't go the way we wanted it to. We struggled through it, and the spirit wasn't very strong except when we ended it with reading a chapter in the book of Mormon with them. After the lesson we felt junky about it, and on the way home we got a call from Bro. Hamner and he expressed the same feelings that we were having. So we set up a time to meet with him the next day to talk about what happened and how we can make the lesson better. He pointed out some things that he observed that we could have done better, and helped us to figure out what we could teach Steve on Thursday. So we decided that we needed to ask him the Baptismal interview questions and figure out where he was at in his testimony. We started the lessons the way the Assistants taught us at Training, setting expectations, using HTBT and then went into the questions with him and from the beginning of that lesson to the end the spirit was so strong and we were able to help him, and Sis. Black had a breakthrough during that lesson as well. She was able to feel the spirit and recognize when she was feeling it. it was amazing! I really have a testimony of how important members are to this work.
Also this week I was able to go on an exchange to Circleville with Sis. Dycus. I learned so much from her. She is a great missionary, in a hard area, and she is doing well. I learned how important it is to set inspired goals and to work your hardest to reach those goals. They had set a goal to find 5 people in 2 days through tracting and to extend baptism to every one they talked to. I was amazed as I watched Sis. Dycus talk to these people and use the methods she used that it worked. Every person that would listen was extended to. and we were able to find 3 people in the 6 hours that we went tracting together.
I love going on these exchanges to see what things Sis. Black and I can implement in Zanesville!
We have 2 people being baptized on saturday. Chase and Isaiah are half brothers and are 9 years old. They are so excited to be baptized! We are meeting with them today to get them suited up in their suits and getting the program set up. We are so excited to finally have a baptism in Zanesville!

I have missed you a lot this week too, I hope that you are doing well! I love you so much! :)

This week has been a great week for us here in Zanesville. We have been able to teach some lessons to our investigators, Steve and Mike. They are both doing great. Sometimes we get a little frustrated and our patience is tested because we want them to progress  faster than they are ready for, but we have learned a lot this week in this regard that it is not us that knows when they are ready it is the Lord that knows. He is the only one who knows what they are going through and when they are personally ready to move to the waters of baptism. We had a cool experience with Steve this week, we walked into his house and the spirit was different, something was wrong. we all could feel it. We started to teach and nothing was clicking, we couldn't say the things we had planned to say, everything we tried was just not working. Finally Bro. Hamner spoke up and said that he has been trying to figure out what was wrong the whole time. He said that he knew something was wrong but he couldn't put his finger on it. So we asked Steve what had changed and he said that he had hit a spiritual wall and that he didn't feel like he was going anywhere, and that he has been just feeling junky. Bro. Hamner offered to give Steve and his wife Faith a blessing. he did so and it was so good for them. It was their first blessing and it changed the spirit of their home. He came to church on Sunday and looked like he was doing so much better. The priesthood is real and it has so much power to heal and to comfort. I am amazed at every time I get one or witness one there is always something miraculous said in them. I love the priesthood so much.

One thing I am concerned about is with Sis. Black, she is struggling right now to know if she wants to be out here or not. She has talked to me a lot about it as well. I really don't know how to help her. We are working hard but her heart isn't in it and so it's hard to keep her motivated. If you have any suggestions on how I can help her I am open to anything.

Other than that things are going well here. I am feeling great about how things are going. I am excited to be going on all of these exchanges with the sister staining leaders. It is really exciting. We were able to go to Mt. Vernon last week as well to work with Sis. Webb and Sis. Nalls! That was so fun! We were able to find some awesome potentials and 1 new investigator for them! I love helping other missionaries out!

That is so cool about going to Brett's cabin and doing all these fun things in Utah! I think that both landon and I wish we could have been there, but this is a greater thing that we get to do! I am learning to love this work again and things are going really well! Don't work yourself to death, but you are doing a great job! I am so proud of you! You are excelling at your calling and I am amazed at how well they seem to be doing with you as their leader! A lot of times I think about you and what you would do if you were here. and that is what I base what I do. Also the Savior of course but that is a huge testimony to me that you follow the savior and so I can follow you because you follow him! :) Keep it up mom! you are the best! and I love you! :)
This week we have a lot going on we have district meeting on wednesday, We have sis. Specialized training on thursday, weekly planning on friday until 3 and then after that I am going on an exchange to Circleville until saturday night. Then it's sunday again and I will be going on another exchange with the sister training leader in madison lake, adn then it's transfers! What the!!!? Time flies so fast! It's so crazy! :)
I hope that you have a great week and know that the lord will buoy you up and expand your capacity to do the things that you need to do.
Will you put Sis. black's name on the prayer role in temple and pray for her. She needs a lot of prayers this week. also Mike Smith, Steve Stover, and Chase and Isaiah Starkey.
Thank you !
I love you

This week has been a pretty good week, we were able to get a lot of referrals and contact them all. none of them panned out but we were still very grateful that we were able to get them. Sis. Black and I are starting to work together more effectively, and we are being able to figure out what it is we were sent to each other for. She has a lot of the same qualities I had when I first came out. And I am starting to see them, and I know how I was able to refine the things that I wanted to fix, and so I can help her with that. That is something that I learned from her. She is having a hard time learning how to recognize the spirit, she has only had a few times in her life when she actually has been able to feel it working in her. She has had other people tell her when they feel the spirit with her, but she has trouble identifying it for her self. That is her struggle, she feels like it's holding her back and it gets her really discouraged sometimes.

Other than that we have had a pretty good week. We found 3 new investigators. Bo, Jennifer, and Molly. They are great! We have been out visiting a lot of people this week, almost every less active that we can go see we have tried to see. We have one of our investigators Steve who we taught the Word of Wisdom last week, he's struggling with that, but he's still really strong and reading the BOM every day with his wife. That is changing their lives, it's amazing to see. Mike our investigator we called you about who was on date for Aug 17th is smoking again, he quit for a week and a half and then Satan hit him pretty hard with about 5 things on the same day and he started smoking again. He doesn't have any hope for himself, and we are trying to instill that back into him, but he doesn't feel like the atonement covers him and so it's hard to help him. We are trying everything we can to help him!

Things are slowly but surely picking back up here in Zanesville, I am so excited to have Sis. Jenkins here with us this week. She is going to be a huge help to us and she will change the lives of the people she teaches out here. She is a recent convert from February serving a mini mission, and she was called here to Zanesville, We found out last night that she was coming, and so it's going to be great having her here. She's really cool and wants to serve a mission really bad, which is awesome!

I'll be honest with you, this week really has been a hard week, Its been different and hard and just plain frustrating.  I just keep thinking that things here in zanesville are going to get better but they just keep slipping through the cracks and our investigators are slipping away,I know I'm not supposed to send negative stuff in emails but I really need your prayers! It is hard work but also rewarding at the same time.  I love you all.  Thanks for all your letters, prayers and support.     Sister Buhler

This week has been a great growing week for me. Losing sister Pollock was hard, I am going to miss her a lot but I know that Sis. Black is awesome too! :)
I'll be honest with you. I have felt very inadequate this week as I have been training for my first time. It has been a struggle to get my mind wrapped around the whole idea of me being the one who knows what is going on in Zanesville, and remembering the important things and helping sister black get involved. Sis. Black has stepped up to the plate and has been awesome! She really knows how to bring the spirit and how to talk to people. We taught Mike Smith right after we got home from transfers and she connected with him right away! They have some of the same things that they are going through spiritually, with trying to understand how the spirit works through them. It has been so cool to see! she already loves the people and wants their salvation. She catches on really fast and remembers names like a champion! :) I love her! Thank you for sending her to me! :)
We have been able to find a family to teach, the Gomez family, they just moved in to Zanesville last week and are looking for a church to go to, she has a lot of questions, and is curious about prophets, the priesthood and all sorts of other things! ! It was a great day to end our Sunday! Things are looking up, and we are getting work done, bringing souls into the waters of baptism! we have an investigator who is in date for Sept. 21st and he is progressing so well that we think he is going to be ready sooner! I hope that will happen! He's so awesome !:)

To answer your questions from the email 1. I sure did get the GPS!! Lil' man is doing a great job getting us around good old Z ville! 2. Pres. Neilsen is getting his spunk back, he had an episode where he had a blood clot and internal bleeding and he almost died, so they took him back to the hospital and got him all fixed up. he's resting and getting better! 3. A sister training leader is like a sister zone leader basically. She goes around to the sisters that need training and stuff and helps them. everything a zone leader does a sister training leader does. minus the priesthood. She is in a little town called Delaware, she is training 2 new sisters. and is opening a new area. She is such a studly sister! she can do anything! :)

So my new companion is sister black. she's from Pleasent Grove Utah! and she's 19. she's brand new and so awesome! We like a ton of the same things and it's been a blast getting to work with her. We have a new set of elders in our ward as well and they are awesome! elder Baird has been out the same time as I have, and elder Tate is brand new! they are so great! and the first ward got new elders as well. SO the only ones that stayed from our district was elde rDonaldson and me! It's pretty great having different people to give this area a boost! I love this work, it's the hardest work I have ever done and sometimes all we have is the savior to rely on, but he is our savior for a reason and he went through all of this so that we didn't have to go through it alone! he is with us every step of the way! I know that he lives and loves us so much!

I love you guys! it sounds like you had a great week! I wish I would have been able to go to granite it sounded like fun! :) Tenting it up! I love tents! :)

We have an investigator Mike Smith, he's been investigating for about a year, and he is trying to quit smoking, he's on date for the 13th of July. The day after everything happened we had a lesson with him, and he was frustrated and down on himself, and he had just bought nicorette to try to help him stop smoking, we talked to him about faith and tithing and how that maybe if he starts to pay his tithing he might have an easier time smoking, he had everything written out on paper where all of his money was going and there was no money to go anywhere else because he had bought the nicorette, So me, Sis. Pollock and the member we had with us shared our experiences with him about tithing and it working in our lives, and I asked him "Mike, why don't you think that it can work for us but not for you?" he said "it's always been this way, it's always going to be this way. I have had no luck financially keeping my money together, and that's just how it will always be." I looked at Sis. Pollock and she looked at me and I shared my experience from the day before. "It's always going to be this way" was a lie that I believed that Satan was telling me, I had it written on my paper that was in my scriptures, so I pulled it out and we talked about everything I went through the day before. The Spirit was so strong and so amazing. We helped him to understand that it is through the savior that we can do all things and that nothing is too hard for the Lord. He's doing better and we are hoping for baptism in July still. Not the 13th but the 21st or the week after. Tomorrow's lesson is going to be setting a plan to get him to the waters of baptism!

Oh man! So the rest of the week went so well! Friday was the best day we have had in a long time! we went to teach these 9 year old boys, chase and Isaiah about prayer, they love to pray and get so excited to pray, they are on date for baptism on Aug. 31st! they are so cute, then later that day we went to see Cheryl one of our investigators who we tracted into last week, we taught her the restoration and extended baptism for aug. 17th and she accepted! we love it when this happens! :) then we went to see Steve, one of our investigators who's wife is a recent convert and he about dropped us that night, we finally understood how he was feeling and helped him to understand that if he reads and prays he will not feel that way anymore and so he agreed to keep meeting with us and we have an other lesson with him this week! We then got out of there and got a referral from the mission pres. of Columbia south carolina mission. his nephew used to be FLDS and got kicked out for fooling around with his girlfriend, they got caught on friday, got married on monday and they got kicked out with 500$ on tuesday. they've been on their own ever since. It's so cool to teach them because they already know alot about the basics becasue they teach alot of the same things! they leave out some of the truth but it's still the Book of Mormon and Joseph smith and stuff! It is awesome! they want to be baptized so bad! I love them! that was so cool!
Sunday we had 5 out of the 7 people at church that we invited! it was the bomb! and even some less actives that we didn't invite showed up! It is so awesome! :)
Life is great here in the great Ohio! :) OH MAN!!!

I will leave you with my new favorite scripture 1 Cor. 15:10 By the grace of God I am who I am... look the whole thing up and read it, it got me through a lot this week! :)

I'm so glad grandpa loved his purse! It made me laugh so hard to think about his reaction! I can't wait to get his letter! :)

Love you! :)

July 1st Email

Man, well what to say about all that has happened to you guys in the last couple of days! that is amazing! I am excited to hear what will happen in the weeks to come! :) I sure hope girls camp goes well! Tell all of the girls hi for me, and make sure you do two things that are essential to the ultimate girls camp experience. 1. Maryia must get into a whipped cream fight with someone on the late night food raid. and 2. Someone has to dump water on Brad, just to see what he will do! Do these things and girls camp will be an instant success! :)

Now for the real stuff! So this week really has been a great week! we have had so much stuff going on. We saw so many less actives, and most of them were actually home when we went to see them, which never happens. we committed almost all fo them to come to church within the next two weeks and we actually got invited back to have dinner with 2 of them! that was a miracle, we didn't even ask! It was all them! what a blessing! :) Our district meeting was so awesome this week, it was on chapel tours and we had a great time learning about them and how to commit someone to be baptized right after one. being motivated to get a chapel tour this week, the apt. after District meeting we actually got our investigator to agree to come to one! :) It didn't go exactly as we had hoped, but we felt the spirit! it was great!:) We have really been trying to be as effective and obedient as we can possibly be, and because the Lord knows we are trying he is blessing us with many miracles this week! we have gotten 2 new investigators and have taught so many lessons and helped a bunch of people come loser to their savior this week because of that! I am so blessed to be out here right now! I love this work and everything about it! :)

One sweet experience we had this week, we were in the ER with one of our investigators who's mom has just had a stroke and we were waiting for her to get to the hospital. we had just been at his house for dinner and were going to start the lesson when we got the call that his mom was being taken to the ER. So sis. Pollock and I were just waiting and looking around and sis. Pollock notices this guy covered with tattoos and has a cane, and his leg is all nasty and infected. So she's like, I need to go talk to this guy, so while I'm back talking to Steve's mom and saying a prayer with her so she feels better, Sis. Pollock is talking to this guy, Adam. He has been to jail twice, he used to be a drug dealer, he lives on the worst street in South Zanesville, but he read the book of Mormon while he was in jail and he is so interested in changing his life around. So right before he got called back to get checked out for his leg, we exchanged info and we are hoping to get an apt. set up for him this week!
Maybe we should hang out in the er more often! :) "The whole needeth no physician, but they that are sick" right! :) It really had been a great week!  :) I hope that things are going great at home! We are having zone fun day today in Newark and we are spraypaint tyedying shirts as a zone, and then playing some games! It's going to be great!:)

Can you send me a list of family birthdays so I know when everyone's are? that would be great! :)
I'm trying to think if there is anything else I need to tell you.....nope I think that is it! except that pres. nilsen is going in for surgery on wednesday, so please keep him in your prayers. he's going to need every single one of them! :)

Oh yea, THE MISSION SPLIT TODAY! I am thankfully still in the Great Ohio Columbus Mission! Under the direction of Pres. Nilsen! :) thank goodness that I got to stay! I would have cried if I would have had to leave! :)

have a great day everyone! :)

Love you! :)

Dear family

This week has been so amazingly crazy and awesome, I have grown so much and we have had so many miracles happen. When we left off on Wednesday we had p-day and then were heading off to the MOTAB concert! It was amazing! We had 1 investigator come with us and 6 less active recent converts there as well! It was just amazing! We went in the bauserman's big 17 passenger bus and it was awesome to be able to go with everyone and just have a great time! All of our mini missionaries went with us as well and they loved it! It was a lot like the one I went to in Rexburg, but it was still amazing! the Pres. of OHIO State came out at the end and was the guest conductor for the final encore song! I had no idea who he was but it was still pretty cool! I got to sit by mike smith one of our investigators who is on date for baptism for July 13th and he loved it, it was so fun to see his reaction to the spirit of the concert! It was pretty exciting! :) I loved it so much, but you know me! I love concerts! :)
There was a tornado watch right over Columbus and all the way there and back brother bauserman kept getting emergency texts that tornado's and stuff were a possibility! we were also supposed to get like 75 mile/hour winds, so that was exciting! the whole way home there was a ton of sheet lightning, it was so cool! :) SO now that I have scared you to death I will tell you of the miracles that happened after Wednesday,
we taught 2 nine year olds to get them ready for baptism, and we also were able to go and get a new investigator from a referral that bishop sent us to. our mini's had a great week not wanting to go home and I know that because they were here is why these miracles happened! It definitely wasn't anything sis. Pollock and I did. maybe just some planning and lots of praying on our part but mostly them! It was such a growing week for me, it taught me patience and love for every person, and that missions aren't all about the good lessons that you teach, because some lessons just aren't going to go well and you deal with them as they come! both me and sis. Pollock experienced rough lessons! but they just weren't ready to hear it. But one member has been talking to his co worker about the church and we had a lesson with her on Friday and that went well, she asked all the right questions and is pretty much golden! We'll see how that goes! I really felt your prayers this week, I needed every one of them!
On saturday when the mini missionaries left sis. Pollock and I just collapsed and were so exhausted, we went and I honestly don't remember what we did the rest of the night! we were so tired!
We did go to the bausermans for dinner though and recorded a fathers day message. did you get it dad? we sent it on saturday night, so I hope you did. it was of sis. Pollock and I saying "happy fathers day dad! You're the only man in my life...for now!" it was so fun! :) I hope that fathers day was so good! we made treats for some of the dads in our ward and took them around last night because we didn't think that finding was going to be very effective, because it was fathers day. so we did some service. Rick hildebrand, the Goggle guy, hes one of the guys that we took it too, and he jumped on facebook and wrote dad a message from me, incase you didn't see it already! he's a pretty awesome dude! :)

This week has been a week of miracles! We couldn't have taught anyone that we have taught this week without the mini missionaries being here. There have been so many amazing teaching experiences in the last couple of days.
We taught a recent convert's husband who has never had any religious background, he hadn't prayed in a long time and wasn't very comfortable praying out loud, but I used the training that Elder Beck gave us about prayer at interviews, and guess what? It worked, I pushed and pushed, and all of us said a prayer before he did, and finally he said a very sincere heart felt prayer. The spirit was so strong and he wants to see us again. My Mini missionaries did such a great job of teaching with the spirit as well, and I am just so blessed and so excited to have them here with me. They have taught me how to step up, and how to be a better teacher, and always being engaged in the lessons and a whole bunch of other things. It really has been an amazing learning experience for me.
I have also found that I have a new appreciation for Sis. Pollock as well, I loved her before but I love her even more now, it is so nice to be able to teach a lesson with someone who already knows how to teach. But I really love teaching with my mini's as well. They are doing a great job.
I am so excited for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert tonight. I love them and can't wait to feel the spirit with the music they sing!
I actually did run in to Elder Hanson at the mini missionary meeting! he seems to be doing great!
No I am not getting transferred! yay! Pollock and Buhler is still intact for another 6 weeks! Zaneville 2nd ward rejoices much at the news! :)

So about the mini missions. I shall now explain. What happens is they are youth from 16-18 who want to try out mission life to see if they actually want to go on missions. So they come for a week and do everything we do, keeps our schedual, teaches with us and everything. We got 4 mini's, sis. pollockgot 2 and I was assigned two. Sis. Keller and Sis. Miller are my two, they are pretty awesome! definately still 17 year old highschool girls but they are great! they get along really well, and they are really great at teaching with the spirit. We split up into trios and go out and get to work. there has been a lot of planning go into this week, in setting up appointments and getting great teaching opportunities for these girls, and we have seen so many miracles come from having them here. We wouldn't have gotten these apt's had they not made the choice to some out and serve a mini mission! So we have 6 people in an apt that is supposed to hold 2, but we are managing to do a pretty good job of keeping things clean, and organized, showers are pretty rough sometimes, but it all works out! they are all doing great! :) I love having them, and getting to see them grow and me grow as well! they are awesome! :)

We get to go to the MOTAB concert tonight, we are so exited!!!!! we are taking the bauserman bus down to columbus and back! We also because of the mini missionaries got another car to transport everyone around, so I have been driving the malibu that is just like ours and sis pollock gets the brand new ford fusion! we only have it for a week but still! :) it was quite the thing not driving for 6 weeks and then having to drive a nice car in a town that you don't know where you are going! it's great fun! :) Oh and if you feel like buying a garmin GPS and sending it to me....that would be great because once sis. Pollock leaves me I don't have any way of getting around anywhere! ;) I would be able to use it for my whole mission! :) I would love you forever! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNETTE!!! :)
anyways that's a lot of what is going on this week, there is so much more but I don't have time to tell you all of it! I get another P-day on monday so I'll write again!

I love you guys so much! Miss you

Sis. Buhler
P.S. I can't find my camera cord so I'll send pics Monday!

Dear family

First off mom I got your package! Thank you so much for sending that, I love everything you sent! You sure know me well! one thing about the cd's the first two cd's are the same cd, but it's good because now sis. Pollock can have one! :) I sure love getting letters from you so much! and the 20 billion post cards that I got from dad! that was fun too! :)

So last wednesday was a pretty cool day, we had district meeting and we got to roleplay infront of everybody, it was a bit scary but I learned so much and I really took it seriously and I felt the spirit super strong. After DM we got to have sis. young (senior couple) come with us while her husband went with the elders to do service on a farm, it was so great to have her with us! She's the best! We had dinner at the Bauserman's that night, he's the ward mission leader. it is awesome going over there. We love it so much! This next section is the letter to Pres. that describes all of our successes this week so I don't have to write it all again I pasted it here!

We have had a great week. It has been very successful, though we have had a lot of no's (56 to be exact) we have had 2 people say yes to our message, which makes all of those no's so worth it. We made a lot of headway with one of our investigators named Ron, we have been trying to get him to come to church since before I even came out in the field and he was at church yesterday! we were so excited! We asked him how he felt and he said he felt really good! He wants to get baptized so bad, but he has to get married first because he's living with his fiance. Things will work out for them! I am really excited for them!
Another one we are working with is Mike Smith, we had a baptism that we invited him to, he came and he said that he felt the spirit, we have been helping him recognize how he feels the spirit and that is helping him develop his faith and confidence in himself. He is on date for baptism for July 13th, he just needs to quit smoking and drinking coffee,  we prayed with him at his appointment and that was the date that stuck out to him, so there you go! The spirit is amazing! I love it so much! :) We have a solid investigator Megan who we just started teaching last night, her fiance is in our ward and has been wanting her to talk to the missionaries for a long time. We taught her the 1st lesson last night and it went great! :) We are excited to keep teaching her.

ok letter over! We have had a lot of tracting opportunities this week, we tracted into a hippie and he and his wife invited us in and told us all about their life and he sang us some songs on his guitar and filled us full of political tree hugging views, it was awesome! his name is sunny Klimczyk he's got a website if you want to go and listen to some of his songs, they are pretty hippietastic! :) www.unsigned.com/sonnyklimczyk really though go listen to him, he's good!:)
we just love meeting all of these people with crazy stories and talking religion with them! it's so great! :) life here in the field is great! My allergies have been super bad this week though, I finally got me some clairitin because I couldn't talk to people because I would sneeze every time I would try to say something. So we have been working with this less active guy David Penny for about 3 weeks, trying to get him back to church, we went to visit him last week and he was drunk as a skunk! It was pretty rediculous, he wasn't making any sense, he told us he was reading the pearl of great price and it was saying that moses created the earth and not Jesus, and a bunch of stuff like that. You could smell it on him, wheew! so we left thinking that there was pretty much nothing  else we as Sister missionaries could do for this guy...well he came to church on sunday sober (the last sunday he came he was drunk) and got up and bore his testimony about how since we have been coming to see him he feels like he has a purpose again. So that gave us hope and we are definately going to keep seeing him.

Some crazy exciting news....!!! We are getting mini missionaries this saturday! here's the crazy news....THERE ARE GOING TO BE 4 OF THEM!!! WHAT THE!!!!
We heard this news and we were baffled as to what we were going to do and how we were going to make things work, but thanks to our amazing ward and inspiration from the Lord we were able to think of things and figure out teaching appointments and dinners and transportation for us all. The Lord is in this work for sure! it's crazy! IF we go to transfers we could either lose sis. Pollock, and get me a new trainer, or get another sister. so potentially we could have 7 sisters in our house until next saturday! It's going to be insane! Please have lots of prayers because we are going to need it! :)

I love you guys so much and miss you lots! I hope things are going well at home, and everywhere else!

have a great week! sorry no pictures this week! but lots next week.
Oh and P-day next week will be on Wednesday just so ya know!
PS. Dad What do you want for fathers day??? Or should I just surprise you?

hey ya'll                                                                   05/20/13

so this week has been pretty awesome, we visited a lot of recent converts and less actives this week, we got a few new investigators and taught some awesome lessons! We had district meeting, and got a bunch of referrals from members. Although a lot of our appointments fell through this week we still kept a positive attitude about everything! We had dinner at a bunch of awesome members houses and they took great care of us this week. except twice when we went to this nasty chinese buffet and we all got sick and felt nasty all night! two families took us there...they are trying to kill us! :)

So two very exciting things happened this week. the first things was sister specialized training, we go to the mission home in columbus and basically it's a huge workshop with all the sisters on how to teach better, have more faith and be the boldest missionaries in the world! We had a bunch of stations where we did a ton of roleplays about a bunch of things, and it was awesome! I learned so much! If you haven't seen facing the giants you need to see it! we only watched a little clip of it, the death crawl scene, but I really want to see it! Will You watch facing the giants? good! :) So I got so pumped up from training, it was I have noticed a difference in how I teach and how I tract and how bold I am and I have the spirit tell me what to do more! I love it so much! I have grown leaps and bounds since thursday!!! :)

So the other exciting thing is that Sis. F is gone, she found out that she was going to tour the mission on friday night, and she had less than a day to pack and get gone saturday, we thought she would have more time with her, but we are meeting her in reynoldsburg and bringing her stuff tomorrow and that is the last time we will see her! So I am now being trained by sis. Pollock who isn't fully trained yet! But she is so great that she practically is trained! So it's great! I have been told that I don't even seem like a greenie, so that is great! I feel like a greenie but they don't see me like one! AWESOME!!!

So for p day we are going to dillon park and playing with the elders, they have volleyball and tennis and a bunch of other stuff! It's gonna be awesome! :)

So here's some pictures of our last few days with sis. F.
We went to donnalds doughnuts on her last day, the girl with us is noel bauserman, she is the daughter of the ward mission leader. she came with us to a few lessons but they fell through so we went to donnalds to drown our sorrows! If you ever come to zanesville you definately need a donnalds doughnut!!!

I would write you more but I don't have a ton of time left, but I love you guys! Ican't wait for the letters and post cards and to hear all bout which job ashley chooses, I hope everything goes great!

Hello family!

Wow! I can't believe that I have been here a week already! I feel like I have been here 2 days and 6 weeks at the same time! I'll be honest, the first three days were really hard for me, especially the first night. But the phrase make it through Sunday is the truest thing other than the gospel, because once Sunday rolled around I was fine. We had a lot of information thrown at us the first two days. There are A LOT of rules here but they are really for our benefit because obedience brings blessings, exact obedience brings miracles. I have really seen that as I have been here as I have tried my hardest to be exactly obedient I have received a greaer portion of the spirit in teaching and also in my study, my mood and my relationships with my companions.
I suppose I will talk about my companions now. I am in a tripanionship with sister King and sister Chanpneys. sister C has been my comp the whole time but because sis. king's comp got her visa they paired us together. Sis C is going to nebraska and sis king is going to columbus with me. They are really fun, and they both bring alot to our compaionship. Sis C had a hard first few days but we all got her through it. I feel like I have grown a lot here since I have been here. I never thought that I would be able to teach like I do.. and I know that it is the spirit not me but my capacity to bring the spirit to the lessons we teach has increased so much. I have been bombarded with letters and packages and dear elder letters and I feel so blessed to have the support of all of you. Thank you so much for your kind words and making me laugh. I love each of you. I got the package and was so happy that you caught my hint about the triskits! I love them so much! It made me really happy!!! I just want to say thank you again for all the letters and love you have sent! :) It made me smile today when I opened it up and saw 5 sitting there for me! :)

So randomly I was in the cafeteria and I look over to see this guy in a blue shirt and red tie and I think to my self  hmm why is this guy not in a white tie. I look a little close and I realize it's the actor from out of step who was making the movie for the dancer. also he's in god's army the one who reads the anti mormon stuff and leaves, and he's also in 17 miracles! I was a bit star struck and I went up and talked to him! He's so nice his name is michael something I can't remember! anyways I just thought it was SOOO COOL!!!!

I got my flight plans last week and I thought I would let you know that I will be leaving in a week from today. Wednesday May 1st. I have to report to the travel office at 4 am and we will head over to SLC I am flying on delta flight 2218 I leave SLC at 7:10 and arrive in atlanta, georgia at 12:51. We have about an hour layover then we leave atlanta at 2 on Delta flight 1695 to columbus and we will get to columbus around 3:37 pm. Depending on the time I will either call right when we get to the airport between 6 and 6:30, if not I will call during the layover which is really short so the call can't be too long but between 1 and 130. I will probably just call mom at work and then if I have time I will call others. let me know if there is any problem with that. in the morning I will probably call mom's cell phone so keep that handy mom! what they said to do is to call with quarters first and then make sure you will pick up and then I will call again using the phone card then we can talk. so write me tonight if you have any questions( snail mail) so I can have that

I would send some pictures but I can't get my camera to work on the computer with the time that I have so I will send them next time. and I will write in a hand written letter that I will write toady when mtc life is like! I wish I had more time to write but I will be kicked out in 30 seconds! I love you, and I  love this gospel with all my heart!!!

love

We got Kelsey dropped off at the MTC on April 17th.  It was a great day but a sad day.  Great in that she was going to serve the Lord, sad that she had to turn her phone over. (ha ha)  She will do an amazing job.  More to come as soon as we get her first letter.
