Hey family!!!
First of all before I forget HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow JR, I have a birthday package ready to send to you! Since this is the last time I get to send you a birthday present in the states I figured I should take advantage of that! I hope you have an amazing day! :)
So this week has been pretty busy for us It started out with Mission Leadership Counsel on Tuesday at the mission Home and that was amazing. It was the Daine's first time and they did a great job! So many funny things happened. Elder Husari told us a story about how him and Pres. were at a teaching apt. the first day and after Elder H got done teaching, Pres. Said "I testify of what elder HUSAIN said is true" BAHAHA!! after he told this story pres had him by the back of the neck and said something, then he muttered under his breath "Terrorist" it was so funny! so if you talk to Elder Husari ever again call him elder Husian!
We learned a lot about inspired goal setting and what Pres. and Sis. Daines vision is for the mission! they were so impressed at how well we have been trained especially for how much growth has happened in the last year. It was fun to talk to them about Cyndi Buhler moving them. They have talked to her a lot and we talked about my family for a bit too it was fun! :)
Wednesday we had zone meeting and that was really fun we talked even more about inspired goals and how to make our planning sessions more productive and also how to inspire people to find and be more involved in teaching the gospel. It was a great meeting!
Thursday we went to Piqua for the day to help the sisters with their finding efforts. While we were walking we were being followed by this bird that was dive bombing us, like attacking us, it was so crazy! we also met a German Baptist man who was so nice! We talked to him for a while and I gave him some Idaho Pins because his kids had been to Idaho before. Nice guy!

Friday we Had an awesome Weekly Planning session where we got EVERYTHING done that we needed to, we usually don't get everything done and we did it! :) It was so great! we feel so much more prepared now! it's great! :) We had another exchange with the Sidney sisters today and that was so good, one of the sisters is struggling with some issues and she really needed to talk about it, so I basically just listened and then we got ice cream. It was her Companion's birthday Saturday so we went to the store to get some birthday stuff for her and we headed home and got it all set up! We blew up some balloons and made funny saying for the stuff we got her and then we made a plan as to how to surprise her. Our plan was that sister King and sister Love would be hiding in the closet upstairs right before we would wake sister Chadburn up, and I would go down wake her up and say "sister king is having a breakdown upstairs and she won't talk to anyone else but you," then we went upstairs and they have poppers and when the closet door opens we say happy birthday!!!! It was awesome! we had her sign on the curtains and when you turned them around it said HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER CHADBURN! it was cool!  She loved it!

Saturday We went to the Vandiford's and watched the Joseph Smith movie for a movie night with Kaylynn before she gets confirmed It was so fun! She loved it and learned so much!  Then Sunday was quite the awesome day!
It all started out with Kaylynn getting confirmed She felt the spirit so strong and her blessing was amazing! little Joe got sick so they had to leave early, but when she was there it was awesome! :)
Then right after sacrament meeting we had a miracle!! here's the back story:

About 2 months ago we received a referral for a lady named Shannon and We went to the house and no one was there but one of the kids said that she had moved, but her sister Vicky lived there. So a few days later we went back and We talked to Vicky and she said that she didn't know where Shannon  was but her mom would know, so she gave us the number and we started teaching Vicky in the mean time. Yesterday we are about to leave the chapel to go to Sunday school and a sister in our ward comes up to us and says that there is a lady that wants to talk to us, she has some questions that she wants answered. so we go into a room and talk to her and the mood is a bit confusing she thought that Joseph Smith was the anti Christ that she had been warned about since she was little. She also thought that she couldn't receive promptings to help people, only the prophet could do that. So after we cleared that up she started talking about going to live with her sister and that the missionaries came and talked to her and so she told us how she had sent a request for the missionaries and she needed them right then and they didn't come. While we were sitting there, the pieces started coming together and all of a sudden I asked if she had a sister named Vicky, she stood up and said how did you know that? I said "we've been looking for you for 2 months," she had been looking for us as well since she moved back from Utah. She has a triple, and a gospel principles manual and a small testimony! Well long story short she wants to meet with us and is so ready! What a miracle!!! Heavenly Father is so amazing! So we are teaching her and we are so excited for her to learn and so is she! : )
After Church we headed back over to the Vandiford's for the start of our food Coma. They had bought panera bread, mike and roses cold cuts and these yummy kettle chips, and some yummy desserts too! it was so good! we had a little gathering to celebrate Kaylynn's confirmation. We played a few games and watched a few Mormon messages and ate and ate and ate, it was so great! :) Then we headed over to the Boxx's for dinner...yep 2 dinner apts. it was great! they are an awesome family we had white lasagna and salad, and brownies! they were so great! we were basically in a food coma the rest of the night! : ) we shared with them this video that I would love for you all to go and watch. It was on the hastening the work seminar last July it is a great video. What I want you to do is while you are watching, think of people in your lives that you know of that either don't have the gospel or are struggling in the gospel and think of something that you can do. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but think of something you can do. Please if you are friends with me on facebook will you share your experience on my page and I'll see it when I get home! :) here's the link! :)

It's been a good week full of awesome experiences! I Hope that you are all doing well and know that God loves you and he is watching out for you! :) I love you!
PS. Mom thanks so much for the money! I feel a lot better now! I will be careful with it I promise !:)

This week has been a great week. Especially because we were able to have our mini missionary sister young here! It has been a week full of finding and miracles, and putting people on date! I learned so much from Sis. Young and she was so prepared and ready and willing to do whatever we asked her to! I felt like we knew each other from the pre-existance. We all got along so well! It was great!

It has been great! I have felt so strong and felt like I really lived my purpose this week, I had a lot of motivation to be exactly obedient and to make this week the best for sister Young, so it helped me to step up my game a lot! I grew in my testimony this week as well! Also it was amazing to get to sing at the clippers game. That was an honor to be chosen for that, and I had so much fun!

Our Companionship has been pretty great, we have been really in tune with each other and with the spirit and just getting along really well.

Our area has been doing really well. We have been able to find every day, and we are preparing several people for baptism. It has been so awesome to see their love for the gospel grow. We have an investigator named Cody, and he was found 3 weeks ago and he is doing everything he can to keep the commandments, he's got a girlfriend and a 6 week old daughter and they live together, we have been teaching him the commandments this week and he is trying so hard to keep the commandments. He came to church with us again this week, and the talks were all about enduring well, and about fatherhood, and he was crying the whole time, he was also able to talk to the bishop for about an hour and he was able to get a bunch of advice as to what to do with his girlfriend. Things got really hectic, and Satan has been really working hard on him. I haven't seen Satan work this hard on anyone, but we asked them to say a prayer together, and we said one with them over the phone and about 10 minutes later they were able to calm down and work things out. He will be baptized in July! He is so excited! They are going to get married, and life is going to be good for them! A lot more things are happening, but that is the biggest miracle of the day!
I am sending a letter with dad's Fathers day present that has all the info about the clippers game, so I am just going to leave it at it was amazing!!!!!
The rest of the week was just a blast, finding people teaching people and being gangster with the sisters!
We had a booth at a fatherhood festival on Saturday and Cody came with us to help along with the elders, it was so fun, we talked to so many people and were able to teach a few of them, we were right next to a booth that had a fun game so everyone came to see that and then we grabbed them in with the gospel. It was pretty great! We had so much fun, and Cody was able to share the gospel and his story with those that he talked to! It was so amazing to see him so excited!!!!!! I'll attach a bunch of pictures.
Life is good and I don't have a ton of time but I love you guys, I will call sallimae and get that taken care of.
I hope you have an amazing day!
Love you

mini missionaries

Family
I did buy another GPS. Because I had opened it and used it for a bit they wouldn't return it, but I was able to get the Garmin that I needed because the Magellan wasn't very accurate, I still have it and am just going to keep it for now, I will probably either send it home later or try to sell it when I get home! but I was able to price match it and got it for 79 dollars. and then I bought insurance just for good measure! I hope I didn't kill my account by doing it, but now I can have the ward list and everything I need as a missionary on the GPS! What would you like me to do with it?
We were able to have April be confirmed and receiving the gift of the holy ghost. She is so happy and is now welcomed into the ward! I love seeing her face as she felt the spirit and now the light in her eyes will be there always! what a miracle!
We were also able to extend baptism to 2 more of heavenly Fathers children and they accepted a date of June 22. I know that miracles can happen when we actually put forth the effort and be bold enough to invite! it was amazing! we have another investigator that is praying for a date now. I am so grateful for those people that Heavenly father is preparing for us here in Springfield! I am honored to be the vessel he chooses to work through to bring them to baptism! What a blessing!
We had the mini missions this week! Sister Young is amazing she is so great and such a champion missionary already! we have been able to have so much fun!

we have A mini missionary this week! her name is sister young she is really awesome! We are practically best friends already! we have started a gangster motorcycle gang called the flat billed caps and you are welcome to join if you want to! It's a party let me tell you! we are taking Springfield by storm! my gangster name is b-money and hers is mini young! we have already had so much fun! :)

Life is good here in the great Ohio we are finding people to teach and baptize! I love this work and am so happy to be here! I hope you have a great day and I love you!!!!

For Easter we were able to go to a family called the Franjezivics for Easter dinner! They made ham and Funeral potatoes! it was just like home! they are a funny couple! bro. F reminds me of John Goodman the actor and Sis. F reminds me of Dory on finding nemo! pretty funny couple! They were so cute! They gave us each a stuffed bunny and a huge milk chocolate egg with more eggs inside of it! it was pretty great! We were able to have a lot of people at church because the Abston's bought a bus to bring all their grand kids to church with them, and so everyone was talking about the church bus, it was so great! I'll send a picture of it!
How we decide who drives, is that at the transfer meeting they announce who will be the designated driver. sometimes when we go on exchanges though if one of the companions isn't the driver we both get to drive! It's pretty great!
We sometimes share clothes, not so much accessories, our styles are VERY different! In fact we are two VERY different people. and that is ok, because Heavenly father put us together for a reason and we are to use our strengths and where we are week we usually make up for eachother! so that is good! we are working things out a lot better and having a lot more fun.
we were able to do a lot of service for people this week, and we had a lot of fun doing that! I think you got the message from Sis. Bohon about me eating calamari. I didn't like it too much! but it was a fun experience. I love them so much! I'll send some more pictures of how we have fun serving!

we had a cool miracle that happened while we were on exchanges. Sis. Chadburn and I were going to teach a less active, who hadn't been to church in about 20 years, and didn't really remember anything about what she had been taught, so we started teaching her the restoration again, and she felt the spirit so strong and was learning so much. She is starting to get a passion for it again and wants to come to church. While we ran outside to get her a Book of Mormon a friend of hers walked in and She started testifying of everything we had taught her and how he would like to watch the video we showed her, and so we were able to introduce him to the Book of Mormon, and he is very interested in the gospel. It was a great experience. Tammy broke up with her church this Sunday and will be continuing to come with us from now on! The Lord is so mindful and gives us miracles when we need them most! Especially on exchanges
The rest of the week went pretty well, too! but we have to get going to Bellefontaine for our fun day! I love you and hope everyone has a great week! :)
life is good as a sister missionary this week! :)
Love you!!

Hello
To answer your questions we didn't get to watch any of the olympics.
I sure did get my packages! I opened them, but not the presents! you are spoiling me! Thank you so much!!! I also got a package from Lynette, and a birthday card from grandma landon! I am really excited to have my birthday here in the mission! There are a few people that share my birthday out here! Elder Abbott, and Leah Chaffee who is a non member we go and visit all the time! :) It's really awesome! :)
I was going really fast down the road one day and a cop saw me and pulled me over.......I was really nervous but I was determined to make this a teaching opportunity! The cop needed our license so she asked why we were in ohio and we told them about the church and asked her if she went to church, adn then we talked about church for a while and then gave her a card with our number and the church address and she went on her way! :) it was pretty great! : )It went out in a voicemail to the zone about taking every opportunity to teach!
We had a great sister training this week as well! I will write you what I learned! I am almost out of time!:)
This week has been a pretty good week for me personally I have seen myself being molded and shaped into a better more obedient missionary. Especially as we talked on the leadership conference call last night I have recommitted myself to be exactly obedient. Sister Shelley and I are working on this together. Sister specialized training was great for me! It really helped me to remember who I am as a daughter of Heavenly Father and who I have the potential to become.

Our Companionship has been getting better, we are more on the same page, and have a more unified vision as to what we want together and that has been really great! we have our moments but we work through them as always! I am learning so much from Sister Shelley. she is teaching me how important it is to always be worthy to represent the savior in the most professional manner.

The area is doing well. We have been able to find more than usual, some of our investigators are dropping us, but we are being blessed with more people to teach as our pool decreases. That is a huge blessing. I know that as we have a greater focus on obedience and working smart our area will blossom, not just be doing well. We have several people that have soft dates for baptism, but they have a few major things that they need to learn before they can be baptized, so we will be praying and fasting that those things won't be quite so much of a big deal for them when we discuss it with them!
Love you so much! : )Thnks for all the brithday wishes!
Happy birthday to all those march birthday's out there! : )

Hey mom! SO SISTER JENSEN IS GETTING TRANSFERRED!!!!! I am really excited for her! I am staying here in springfield! I'll be honest with you I am freaking out a bit, but I know that I can do it and I'll be ok! because I will have a companion that knows what she's doing adn is willing to work hard as well! I am really excited!!!!!! I love sister jensen, but we both need a break! It will be sooooo good! Please pray that I can keep the area going though! I am going to need all the help I can get! :)
This week has been pretty great!!! :) personally I have found myself being more motivated and more into the work than I have been in a while which is a great thing. I am starting to really improve my confidence and put my full effort into the work. Not that I wasn't working hard before or had the desire, it is just greater and I am more dedicated to it than I have been.

Companionship wise we have been communicating a lot more and our teaching has been more unified. we are also starting to share more equal responsibility with leadership as well. I am really excited about the change though so we can both grow more in our new situations. .

Finding in our area hasn't been all that great this week. We are continuing to work with some part members and are finding great success with that as well! We were able to have a baptism this week with Brielle. She was finally able to be baptized, but not without difficulty. We have been trying to get her baptized for 3 weeks now, and with help from her grandparents and prayer and fasting it was able to happen. She woke up sick that day, and all through church she didn't feel well. but after she was baptized she felt so much better. I know that Satan didn't want her to be baptized and was working so hard on her. But she was able to overcome and now she is so happy.
We have been working with the chaffee family, he is going to be friending me so it's ok to friend him he's not a creeper! anyone else that friends me especially if they are from Springfield go ahead and friend them! :)
But the chaffee's are a family that are basically are members but they go to a different church and are very set in their ways. They are best friends with the vandifords and they know a TON about the church. They have been involved with the church for a long time but no missionary has ever offered to teach them more, not just so that they can learn more. They are amazing! so we've been teaching them for the last few weeks and they are loving it! we have been able to answer a few of their questions and help them to feel the spirit! it's been great! :)
We had a really fun day today! we went to another zone's p-day we were in fairborn on exchanges yesterday to today and we were able to go to and play with the whole zone! oh man it was so great!!!!! we played doge ball, scratch, and chair dodge ball! it was so great! I love that zone, but now I am not over the sisters there anymore because they are getting stl's in every zone now!
so anyways life is great! it's going to be a hectic couple of days but it's going to be great!!!!
I'll let you know what's going on monday!!! Love you! :)

This week has been a pretty great week. Finding this week hasn't been quite as great as last, but we are having a lot more lessons than we normally do because of how many people we found last week. It feels really good to be teaching a lot of people! We were blessed to have 2 people at church this week which is more than we have been having!

I have been growing a lot this week in being bold. Sister Jensen is really good for me this way! She is bold and says what she thinks and I am learning how to do that. You always told me to be the boldest sister in the mission and that is what I am working on. Things with being a sister training leader are going better as well. I am getting the hang of things and starting to feel like I know what I'm doing which is great!

I lost our phone earlier this week so that has been a struggle for us, but we have been able to use the resources we have to get things done. I am so grateful that we have phones so that we can communicate! I don't know how missionaries did it without phones! I am anxiously awaiting our phone to come on Tuesday hopefully!

Brielle will be baptized this week. She was supposed to be baptized last week, but she really wanted her sister to be there so we moved it to this week. She is so excited! Everything is in place for her to be baptized!
so remember Phil that we found on the bus? We went to go teach him again and he wasn't there...we were so bummed, we went back the next day and the apartment manager said that the apartment was empty and they moved out....crap! so because I lost the phone and don't have his number...we have no way to get a hold of him and we have no idea where he's at....we were praying that somehow he would show up to church yesterday...but he didn't. I'm sure the lord will help him find hes way because he was sooooooooooooo ready. we probably could have extended a date to him and he would have accepted it first lesson! he is amazing!
Sorry for the not a lot of details this week...I don't have a ton of time! I wish I had more, but these computers like to turn off after an hour!
I love you so much!
That's awesome that you got a letter from pres. Nilsen, and that he was able to talk to Cyndi! what a coincidence!...we not really but that's so great! :) anyways! we have the winter olympics today that we are having with all the missionaries it's going to be fun! then we have another Mission Leadership Counsel tomorrow! I love being in leadership! I am so blessed right now!
have a great week! :)
Love you
Sis. Buhler
